I'm intersted in creating other realities. I want to use photography to explore questions of what is real, and create images that challenge the notion of a single reality. Photography gives me the opportunity to capture patterns of expression and color that remind me of the incredible range of possibilities and emotions that surround me everyday.
As a self-taught photographer, my artistic life history has been a series of departures and returns. I began experimenting with black and white photography and photograms in my early teens. Some of the same chromatic themes in my photograms are evident in my current work. In college, I returned to art by pursuing oil painting and later photographic collage. After taking a hiatus to be part of the dot.com boom and subsequent bust, I returned to photography. This time I have shifted my entire production to utilize digital technologies in my photoshoots, editing, and print production.
I current live in Portland, Oregon devoting part of my life to being a technology addict.
